Everybody loves fluffy American pancakes, right? Well, check this out…
These are perfect for that date night in together when you want to play some sweet, sweet, music. Light some candles, crack open the drinks and impress your other half with this beautiful creation. You’re guaranteed to get laid!
And if you don’t… well safe to say my friend, there is plenty more fish in the sea and its time to call it a day, hit those dating apps, and find someone who will appreciate these things you do in life, because its far to short to be wasted on ungratefulness!

American Pancakes Recipe – Date Night Pancakes
Ingredients
- 135 g Plain Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- Pinch of Salt
- 2 tbsp Caster Sugar
- 135 ml Whole Milk
- 1 Medium Egg Beaten
- 2 tbsp Melted Butter Left to cool. Plus extra butter for greasing.
- 100 g White Chocolate
- 3 tbsp Raspberry Jam Approximately
- Fresh Strawberries Cut in half, green tops removed, and shaped in hearts with a turning knife.
Instructions
Pancakes
- Sieve all the dry ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix together.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg, then pour in milk and the cooled melted butter, quickly whisk and then pour into the dry ingredients.
- Grease the heart shaped moulds with butter.
- Place the large frying pan onto the hobs on a high heat to allow the pan to get hot.
- Then turn down the heat to low and wait 10 minutes.
- Grease the frying pan with butter lightly, and then sit the moulds into the pan.
- Carefully ladle the pancake batter into the moulds.
- Once browned, flip them over and brown the other side, removing them out the moulds once they are cooked.
- Rinse and repeat until the batter mixture is finished.
Topping
- Cut your strawberries into heart shapes with a turning knife.
- Spread the tops of your hearts with raspberry jam.
- Melt the white chocolate gently in the microwave, and then drizzle off the end of a spoon into whatever pattern takes your creative fancy.
- Arrange the American pancakes on a plate with the heart shaped strawberries in between and enjoy straight away!
